Engineered Fire Starters in a Handcrafted Wooden Box

Warmth. Simplicity. BurnBloc.

More than a fire starter. An experience engineered from the inside out.

Discover a more thoughtful way to start a fire with BurnBloc, a premium Canadian-made fire starter that combines precision engineering, natural materials, and hands-on craftsmanship.

Each BurnBloc is carefully designed and assembled in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, using precision laser-cut Baltic birch, natural beeswax, and an innovative five-wick ignition system.

Unlike conventional fire starters that rely primarily on compressed materials or wax-coated blocks, BurnBloc features a distinctive internal wooden framework engineered to encourage airflow, support combustion, and help establish a sustained flame.

The result is a fire starter where every opening, layer, and component has a purpose.

Engineered to Perform

At the heart of every BurnBloc is a precisely constructed Baltic birch lattice designed to allow fresh air to circulate through the interior.

This carefully planned structure works alongside five integrated ignition wicks, including one central lighting wick and four additional wicks positioned within the fire starter.

Natural beeswax provides combustible fuel, helping establish and maintain the flame as the wooden structure begins to burn.

Simply ignite the central wick using a standard lighter. No additional lighter fluid is required.

BurnBloc has been tested to deliver a sustained flame for 15 minutes or longer under suitable conditions, providing valuable time for surrounding kindling and firewood to ignite. Actual burn duration varies with conditions.

Precision Manufacturing. Canadian Craftsmanship.

Every BurnBloc begins with carefully designed wooden components that are precision-cut using professional laser technology.

These individual pieces are assembled into the distinctive geometric structure that defines the BurnBloc design.

From the internal lattice to the placement of the ignition wicks, every detail reflects a commitment to thoughtful engineering and careful manufacturing.

BurnBloc is proudly designed and manufactured in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.
